Tree Frog

I saw this frog during a class field trip to Manitou Mounds and Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung Historical Centre. I debated in the morning whether or not to take my macro lens as it is so heavy, so decided not to. I now wish I did, because I had to use my all purpose 18-200mm instead. The shot turned out ok, but not with the clarity and detail that my macro lens provides.

Bears...

Mama bear and her cubs visit the area once a day to feed out of the garbage bin. This year mama bear is neat and tidy, lifting the lid of the bin, climbing in and feasting inside, rather than pulling out the garbage and making a mess of things.

Here is another capture of the bears behind the house (the other cub is hiding up a tree). I like that mama bear is looking directly at me (well, maybe not now that I think of it!). The disappointing thing about the photo are the branches in the way of the little cub.

I've posted the bear photos in black and white because the foliage is a dull yellow and brown.
