Grapefruit (colour)

The colour version of my black and white Grapefruit image. I consulted with my spouse who said the colours worked well together. What do I know? :)

Grapefruit (ii)

When I couldn't find a complementary colour for the background (unlike my previous citrus captures), I converted the image to black and white on a whim. I liked the result, so here it is:

Planet Earth

"Papa, these are so cool!" comes a shout from the living room. It's a sick day for me, so I kept the Sprouts home today, too. Jo is sitting on the couch, watching an episode of Planet Earth. Earlier this morning I listened to my son share the "fascinating" details of what he learned about deep seas from yesterday's viewing.

"May I watch some more, today?" he asked. "I want to watch Fresh Water so I can see the difference." We talked about how important fresh water is for us as humans. For a moment I forgot Jo was five years old. The discussion was so mature.

I love that my kids are so excited about learning about the Creator's handiwork.

Overheard Today

Fiona excitedly says, "I love computers. They do everything for you!"

Then sighing, continues, "Except make your bed."
