No, we didn't come home with a
pig, but we did come home with baubles and trinkets, maple syrup and fresh produce. Fresh, local produce that, to quote my spouse, when you eat it, "You can taste the dirt." Last night we savoured the flavour of melt-in-your-mouth steamed green beans with butter, salt and pepper. Tonight fresh basil will garnish a three tomato pasta dish. Tomorrow's dinner meal will feature yellow and green summer squash. And sugar snap peas are available just for snacking. Delish!
