States of Matter
We have another budding scientist in the house. School science experiments have been duplicated at home, from creating a tinfoil boat and floating it in the tub to see how many rocks it can hold before sinking, to making ice cubes and seeing how fast they melt. Lately our "scientist" has taken to carrying a bag of water around the house, frequently popping it in the freezer, and when the water is frozen, pulling it out again to let it thaw, thus demonstrating the changing states of matter. All was going well until we heard the words, "Oops! Sooorry!" Apparently the corner of the bag ripped. Did Einstein's parents have to deal with similar situations?
