What intrigued me more than anything was finding out the way in which everything, all of creation, all of it! - was held together by invisible chemical bonds, and I found a strange, inexplicable comfort in knowing that somewhere, even though we couldn't see it in our world, there was real stability.
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (a Flavia de Luce Mystery)

Last real day of holidays, spending quality time with my family, especially my son (he's learning to play chess), drinking good coffee, and enjoying moments of quiet reading (yes, those are my reading glasses - showing my age).
Went for a walk today with my spouse, the younger Sprout, and the dog. I used my 18-200mm lens and realized why I had packed it away. It isn't as sharp as my go to lenses. I guess I will pack it back up, perhaps even trade it in for a Sigma Art lens.
